Job summary

CTCI SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking a qualified Mechanical/Environmental Engineering professional to supervise the installation of exhaust ductwork and abatement systems at a high-tech facility in Singapore.

The role involves coordinating with process tools, HVAC, and cleanroom interfaces, plus reviewing drawings and specifications. The ideal candidate will have a Diploma or related technical qualification in Mechanical/Environmental Engineering, at least three years of industrial experience,

Qualifications

• Diploma or relevant technical qualification in Mechanical/Environmental Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant industrial exhaust, scrubber abatement, HVAC, MEP, or EPC construction experience.
• Safety certifications (e.g., BCSS/SSSC) preferred; CSCPM/WAH or similar will be an added advantage.
• Proficiency in English and Mandarin preferred to bridge technical requirements between teams and fabricators.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical layout drawings, duct schematics, and P&IDs.
• Experience with ETFE-coated stainless steel, FRP/PP ducting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise installation of exhaust ductwork and abatement systems (wet scrubbers, acid/ammonia scrubbers, VOC abatement like RTOs) and general exhaust fans.
• Oversee corrosion-resistant ductwork installation (ETFE-coated stainless steel, FRP, PP/PVC) and associated components.
• Coordinate exhaust systems with process tools, HVAC systems, and cleanroom interfaces.
• Review exhaust layout drawings, P&IDs, duct schematics, specs, and method statements.
• Monitor duct supports, seismic/vibration isolators, and drainage slope, plus washdown connections.
• Coordinate duct smoke/light testing, air leakage testing, scrubber hydraulic testing, and air balancing.
• Monitor subcontractor performance, manpower, workmanship, and progress on site.
• Identify and resolve site coordination, clashes, and equipment hook-up issues.
• Track punch-list items and ensure timely completion before system pre-commissioning.
