Job summary

PUB Public Utilities Board in Singapore is seeking an Engineer in the Planning, Development & Corporate Services division. You will join the Mechanical Design team to contribute to large-scale water reclamation plant projects, including New Kranji WRP and Changi WRP Phase 3 expansion.

You will work with Consultants/Contractors and operators, leading mechanical studies, design, and implementation while ensuring compliance with standards and best practices.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in plant design, construction, operations & maintenance is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Consultants/Contractors and plant operators to expand WRP within scope, quality, benefits and risks.
• Provide technical leadership in mechanical studies, design and implementation, including value engineering and standards reviews.
• Ensure designs comply with standards and incorporate energy-efficient, maintainable, and security-by-design concepts.
• Prepare tender specifications, evaluate bids, and present recommendations for contract award.
• Review design calculations from Consultants/Contractors to ensure compliance with operations and maintenance needs.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary design with Process/Civil/Mechanical/EICA/Cybersecurity teams and monitor project progress to meet timelines and budgets.
