Job summary

BRUNEL INTERNATIONAL SOUTH EAST ASIA PTE. LTD. is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to own the engineering and technical delivery of rotating and packaged equipment through the project lifecycle in Singapore.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure designs meet project needs and quality standards. You will mentor less experienced engineers, provide technical direction, and contribute to tender activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Approximately 8–10 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience in oil & gas or related industrial projects.
• Strong specialist knowledge of rotating and packaged equipment, with experience in selection, sizing, specification, and evaluation.
• Experience in a Lead Mechanical Engineer, Senior Mechanical Engineer, or similar leadership role.
• Proven track record across EPC lifecycle: engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, start-up.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering activities for rotating equipment and packaged systems.
• Develop and review equipment specifications, datasheets, requisitions, and enquiry documentation.
• Coordinate mechanical interfaces with process, piping, electrical, instrumentation, civil, and other disciplines.
• Provide technical support during procurement, including reviews of supplier proposals and vendor queries.
• Ensure compliance with API, ASME, ISO, NFPA and other client standards; support site activities and start-up.
