Job summary

Seatrium Limited seeks an experienced electrical engineer to lead electrification initiatives for marine and offshore vessels. You will drive BESS and electric crane development, defining system requirements and architectures with a focus on BMS and fuel cell concepts.

The role demands a strong 10+ year background in power systems, extensive hands-on electrification experience, and excellent stakeholder communication to coordinate with cross‑functional teams and external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering (Power, Control, Automation) or closely related field.
• 10+ years of electrical engineering experience with electrification or power systems projects.
• Strong foundation in power distribution management, BMS, load sharing, blackout recovery and VFD systems.
• Proven capability in system configuration design and optimization.
• Extensive hands-on experience in electrification projects, preferably in marine/offshore.
• Solid understanding of hybrid micro-grid power systems and energy storage.
• Research exposure in renewable energy systems and power system management is a plus.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management to bridge local and global teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of electrification products, including BESS and Electric Cranes for marine/offshore use.
• Design and develop electrification systems for marine/offshore vessels focusing on BMS and fuel cell concepts.
• Define system requirements and develop detailed specifications and robust architectures.
• Plan and execute system integration, testing and validation for reliability and safety.
• Provide engineering support during installation, commissioning and maintenance.
• Collaborate with partners, suppliers and regulators to ensure compliance with standards.
