Job summary

Bitdeer Technologies Group is seeking a senior backend engineer to co-own the MaaS platform design, establish a scalable, multi-tenant API surface, and drive performance and security across global deployments. You will work with Go-based services, Kubernetes, and a stack including PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, and Envoy.

The role emphasizes strong observability, zero-downtime migrations, and rigorous on-call practices while advancing token metering and billing capabilities for enterprise customers

Qualifications

• 8+ years of backend engineering experience, with 3+ years owning a high-traffic, multi-tenant API platform for paying customers.
• Expertise in Go-based services, production Kubernetes (Envoy, GPU scheduling), and datastores like PostgreSQL, Redis, and Kafka.
• Strong observability skills using OpenTelemetry and end-to-end system design capabilities.
• Experience with LLMS serving architectures, streaming, token metering, and strict security controls.

Responsibilities

• Co-own the end-to-end MaaS system design and maturity roadmap, driving operable capabilities and cross-functional alignment.
• Own wire compatibility and API surface for major formats, including streaming and tool calling.
• Optimize token throughput, KV cache tiering, and TTFT latency at scale across a global platform.
• Scale the platform with regional inference pools, strong SLOs, and robust incident management and on-call practices.
• Enforce multi-tenant security and zero-retention data paths, with strict authentication and authorization controls.
