Job summary

VUI SYSTEMS PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a hands-on Linux systems administrator to manage enterprise Red Hat based environments. You will install, configure, monitor, patch, and harden servers, and implement automation using Bash and Ansible across on-prem and cloud platforms.

The role requires 5+ years of hands-on Linux administration in production, RHCSA/RHCE is advantageous, and a Diploma/Degree in CS/IT/Engineering. Strong problem solving and collaboration skills are expected.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, administer, and maintain Linux servers (RHEL and others).
• Perform day-to-day Linux administration (user/group management, file systems, permissions, services, processes, packages, configuration).
• Manage server provisioning, configuration, upgrades, migrations, decommissioning.
• OS patching, vulnerability remediation, security hardening, CIS compliance.
• Monitor server availability and performance.
• Troubleshoot Linux OS, connectivity, performance, storage, network incidents.
• Root-cause analysis for recurring incidents and permanent fixes.
• Manage LVM, filesystem expansion, NFS, storage configurations.
• Support LDAP/Active Directory/Kerberos/SUDO/PAM auth.
• Configure Linux networking (DNS, routing, firewall).
• Develop Shell/Bash scripts to automate tasks.
• Support monitoring, backup, enterprise schedulers and infra tools.
• Maintain runbooks, inventory, architecture docs.
• Participate in incident, problem, change, vulnerability, capacity processes.
• Support disaster recovery exercises and business continuity.
