Job summary

A*STAR's Sustainable Systems and Devices group is seeking a Knowledge Graph Scientist to advance ontologies, reasoning, and LLM-KG integration for remanufacturing platforms. You will design core ontologies, develop multi-hop reasoning, and prototype GraphRAG pipelines while collaborating with engineers, scientists, and industry partners.

This hands-on research role emphasizes publishing, prototype development, and shaping the KG program's direction across EV battery, aerospace, and manufacturing

Qualifications

• PhD in Computer Science, AI, or related engineering field.
• Demonstrated track record of independently securing competitive research grants, funding awards, or industry-sponsored projects.
• At least 2 years of relevant post-doctoral or industry research experience, preferably in industrial or manufacturing knowledge domains.

Responsibilities

• Design and govern core ontology for parts, processes, regulations, and lifecycle states across domains.
• Develop and evaluate multi-hop reasoning, rule-based inference, and neuro-symbolic approaches.
• Research GraphRAG pipelines and LLM-to-KG extraction to populate graphs from documents and logs.
• Develop cross-domain ontology alignment to unify terminology across data sources.
• Explore temporal KG structures to model evolution of part conditions and states.
• Lead research proposals, roadmapping, and identify new KG opportunities.
• Collaborate with KG Engineer to deploy prototypes into production-grade graphs.
• Prepare documentation, reports, and presentations; publish findings at venues.
