Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a DMZ Service Delivery Lead Infrastructure Engineer to join the Infrastructure Platform Network Services. You will apply deep knowledge of software, hardware, applications, and technical processes to deliver infrastructure excellence and shape future initiatives.

In this role, you will build and operate DMZ switching and routing, automate day-to-day tasks with scripts, manage vendor activities, and ensure security, resiliency, and auditability in enterprise networks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• At least 5+ years in enterprise network engineering.
• Strong DMZ architecture and Cisco data-center experience.
• Proficient in BGP/OSPF/EIGRP, TCP/IP and VRF concepts.
• Experience with Python/Ansible/Terraform scripting.

Responsibilities

• Build, deploy, migrate, and operate DMZ switching and routing.
• Support and troubleshoot DMZ networks and tasks.
• Develop scripts to automate day-to-day operations.
• Use AI capabilities for infrastructure analysis with strong validation.

As a DMZ Service Delivery Lead Infrastructure Engineer at JPMorganChase within the the Infrastructure Platform (IP) Network Services, you apply deep knowledge of software, hardware, applications, and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline. Continue to evolve your technical and cross-functional knowledge outside of your aligned domain of expertise.

Job Responsibilities

• Build, deploy, migrate, and operate network perimeter DMZ switching and routing environment.
• Support and troubleshoot DMZ Switching and routing designed networks.
• Deploy and maintain scripts for device pave/repave and automatize day to day tasks.
• Uses enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to accelerate infrastructure analysis and design documentation, validating outputs and handling operational data according to sensitivity and security requirements.
• Upgrade DMZ switches and routers with new code and software.
• Service Delivery troubleshooting with T3 and vendor management.
• Applies reuse-first, AI-assisted practices within delivery and automation routines to identify recurring issues and validate remediation options, ensuring changes are traceable/auditable and aligned to resiliency and security expectations.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or related disciplines
• 5+ years of network engineering and implementation experience within a large enterprise environment
• In-depth knowledge and experience on DMZ architecture and Cisco datacenter fabric
• In-depth knowledge and experience on BGP, OSFP, EIGRP, VRF, TCP/IP, ISP routing
• Software development experience in one or more general purpose programming/scripting/DevOps languages: Python, Ansible, Terraform, JSON
• Understanding of micro-services, CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins, APIs
• Good communication and soft skills
• Strong work ethic with a results oriented mindset and strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Demonstrated leadership and collaboration skills in a large enterprise environment
• Demonstrated experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to support infrastructure engineering workflows with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity.
• Ability to review and validate AI-assisted recommendations before implementation, escalating when uncertain and ensuring outcomes align to resiliency, security, and auditability expectations.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

• Experience with network security technologies such as firewall, proxy, and load balancer
• Experience designing and supporting internet-facing services that traverse the DMZ
• CCIE certification is a plus
• Experience working with Agile methodologies like Kanban & Scrum
• Self-Starter who can take initiative and has the ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Organized and able to follow JPMC processes designed to minimize risk to the environment
