Job summary

Activate seeks a Technical Lead - Full-Stack to guide the IGCH platform’s delivery. You will work with Solution Architect, Product Owner, BA, UI/UX, QA and Infra to build a secure, scalable cloud-based system ready for AWS deployment.

Responsibilities include translating architecture to frontend, backend, API and database designs, leading a small team, and enforcing secure coding and CI/CD practices. AWS, REST APIs and relational databases are key.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience, with experience leading a small engineering team.
• Frontend: Strong working knowledge of React.js, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3 and responsive web application development.
• Backend: Strong experience with Node.js, TypeScript, Express.js or NestJS.
• Database: Strong experience with PostgreSQL, relational design, SQL optimisation, data integrity and migration scripts.
• API Development: Experience designing and securing REST APIs.
• Authentication & Access Control: Knowledge of OAuth2, OIDC, SSO integration, MFA concepts, RBAC, secure token handling.
• AWS Application Knowledge: Experience with API Gateway, Lambda, RDS/Aurora PostgreSQL, S3, CloudWatch, Secrets Manager.

Responsibilities

• Translate the Solution Architect’s target architecture into implementable frontend, backend, API, database and deployment designs.
• Lead the engineering team in the design, development and delivery of a cloud-based digital platform.
• Design secure REST APIs and integration patterns to support internal modules and future external integrations.
• Oversee relational data modelling, schema design, and deployment readiness for AWS environments.
• Design and develop components using React.js, TypeScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL.
