Job summary

BeathChapman Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks an experienced Senior Full Stack Engineer to lead the design and delivery of large-scale web applications across desktop and cloud environments. You will set technical direction and mentor engineers while collaborating with product managers and designers.

You will work with AI and backend teams on server-side architecture, implement robust test strategies, and champion DevOps practices within an Agile/Kanban setting. Strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate or tertiary qualification in computer science, engineering, information systems or another quantitative field.
• 8+ years building and delivering large-scale, multi-site technology projects with leadership or mentoring experience.
• Strong front-end skills with HTML5, CSS, JavaScript and React or Angular.
• Strong back-end skills with Python, Node.js and SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Proven experience with test automation and CI/CD pipelines.
• Docker and Kubernetes experience is a plus.
• Comfortable leading in Agile/Scrum or Kanban environments.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate decisions to stakeholders.
• Self-motivated, hands-on leadership style and ability to unblock others.
• Exposure to regulated or highly secure environments is advantageous

Responsibilities

Job description

What you'll be doing

• Leading the design and development of full stack, reactive web applications deployable on desktop or cloud (AWS, Azure or GCP)
• Setting technical direction and driving architectural decisions across the full stack, in partnership with engagement and product managers
• Guiding and mentoring engineers, and partnering closely with UX/UI designers to shape responsive front-end interfaces (HTML, CSS, React or equivalent)
• Working closely with AI engineers and backend engineers to steer server-side architecture using Python, Node.js or similar frameworks
• Championing test strategy alongside QA to uphold application quality across the stack
• Owning troubleshooting and resolution of complex issues across development and production
• Documenting and communicating full stack design decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders alike
• Driving adoption of DevOps best practices - CI/CD, automated testing, secure coding and sound software design
• Keeping the team ahead of emerging full stack tools, patterns and trends
• Building demos and proofs of concept for end users alongside product and engagement leads

What you'll bring

• A postgraduate or tertiary qualification in computer science, engineering, information systems or another quantitative/analytical field
• 8+ years building and delivering large-scale, multi-site technology projects, including experience leading or mentoring within a full stack team
• Deep, hands-on front-end expertise with HTML5, CSS, JavaScript and React or Angular
• Deep, hands-on back-end expertise with Python, Node/Express and SQL/NoSQL databases
• Strong track record with test automation and CI/CD pipelines, and a hand in shaping them
• Docker and Kubernetes experience is a plus
• Comfortable setting the pace in Agile/Scrum or Kanban teams
• Excellent communication skills - able to represent technical decisions clearly to varied stakeholders
• A self-motivated, hands-on leadership style with the ability to work independently and unblock others
• Exposure to regulated, mission-critical or highly secure operating environments is an advantage
