We are seeking an experienced Flutter Developer who is passionate about designing and implementing scalable systems to join our team.

As a Flutter Developer at Degreed, you will collaborate as a member of a cross-functional team to develop new features, address bugs, and propel the Degreed product forward.

This position will be located in Bengaluru, India. Following an initial in-office onboarding period, employees are expected to be present in the office a few days per week as part of a hybrid work model.

Day in the Life

1. Architect, develop, and maintain the Degreed mobile application on the Flutter platform.
2. Implement visually appealing mobile layouts and consistently enhance the quality of UI code.
3. Write secure and efficient code utilizing Swift, Objective-C, and Realm.
4. Adhere to Flutter development best practices to create modular, maintainable, and high-quality code.
5. Transition existing features and introduce new features to the upcoming cross-platform Flutter application using Dart and BLoC.
6. Collaborate with product owners to ensure that features and modifications align with business requirements and support the Degreed strategy.
7. Engage with designers, UX professionals, and other developers to grasp new features, dependencies, and technical specifics.
8. Engage in continuous learning, professional growth, and contribute to an exceptional team, playing a pivotal role in driving significant changes in learning and learning recognition.
9. Perform any other duties as assigned.

• Possess 4+ years of experience in developing iOS and Flutter applications and services.
• Proficient in coding in statically typed languages and utilizing native iOS development frameworks (preferably Swift).
• Experienced in securely consuming REST APIs within a mobile application context.
• Familiar with working with local application databases for caching application data, with a preference for Realm.
• Skilled in building native mobile apps using Flutter or enthusiastic about learning and adopting this technology.
• Capable of creating highly scalable systems and frameworks.
• Comfortable working on a distributed team with asynchronous communication in a remote work setting.
• Eager to learn and adapt to new technologies and frameworks.

What Sets You Apart

• Previous experience in an Enterprise SaaS company.
• Demonstrated proficiency in working with Swift/Objective-C, Java/Kotlin, Dart, and other core elements of our technology stack, as well as productivity tools like Jira and Confluence.

The position at Degreed offers a remote-first work environment, with the option for in-office or hybrid work if you are located in a city with a physical office. This role provides the opportunity to work 100% virtually from your home office. Collaborations with US and International colleagues primarily occur through virtual meetings (Zoom), email, and Slack. As part of this role, you will need to use a laptop computer, software platforms, and other office productivity tools as required. Due to the role's nature, you must be able to sit for extended periods and effectively communicate both in writing and verbally.
