Job summary

GMP Technologies (S)Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to lead the design and implementation of automation and motion control solutions across PLC, robotics, vision, and servo systems.

You will manage projects from concept through commissioning, develop robust system architectures, and optimise performance to boost productivity. The role includes mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with customers and suppliers globally.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
Minimum 5 years' experience in automation, motion control, or machine builder industries.
Strong hands-on experience with PLCs, robotics, motion control, and servo systems.
Proven track record managing automation projects from concept to implementation.

Responsibilities

Lead design and implementation of automation and motion control solutions using PLC, robotics, vision and motion technologies.
Manage automation projects from solution design through commissioning and completion.
Develop system architecture, review electrical designs and select control system components.
Optimise PLC, Motion, Vision, Robot, AGV and Servo systems to improve productivity and reliability.
Analyse equipment performance, troubleshoot issues and drive continuous improvements.
Provide technical leadership, customer consultation and solution presentations.
Collaborate with Sales, HQ, suppliers and customers to ensure successful project delivery.
Mentor junior engineers and recommend new automation technologies.
