Job summary

Micron Technology Singapore is seeking a seasoned Facilities Project Manager to lead and deliver complex facilities programs, optimize CAPEX, and oversee tool installation in a live production environment.

You will coordinate across Facilities Engineering, Manufacturing, EHS, and vendors, maintain safety and compliance, manage end-to-end projects from design to handover, and ensure on-time, on-budget execution with thorough documentation.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related discipline).
  • Minimum 5 years of facilities/construction project management experience, preferably in semiconductor/cleanroom.
  • Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary projects and teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and drive facilities project execution, CAPEX optimization, and tool installation with safe, on-time, and on-budget delivery.
  • Coordinate across Facilities Engineering, Manufacturing/Operations, EHS/Compliance, vendors, and contractors.
  • Manage end-to-end project lifecycle from design to handover, with regular reviews and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with Micron standards and local regulatory requirements in a live production environment.
  • Oversee hook-up and tool integration activities and maintain documentation.

Manage a team and to lead and drive Facilities project execution, CAPEX optimization, and tool installation activities by ensuring alignment across engineering, operations, and business priorities—delivering projects safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory and company standards.

Project Management
  • Purpose
    • To deliver Facilities and projects safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory and Micron standards.
  • Project Planning & Initiation
    • Define and validate project scope, objectives, and success criteria
    • Develop Project Execution Plan (PEP), schedule, and milestone plan
    • Identify risks, constraints, and mitigation strategies
  • Project Execution & Coordination
    • Manage end-to-end project lifecycle (design → construction → commissioning → handover)
    • Coordinate across:
      • Facilities Engineering
      • Manufacturing / Operations
      • EHS / Compliance
      • Vendors, consultants, contractors
    • Act as single point of contact for project stakeholders
  • Schedule & Progress Control
    • Track progress against baseline schedule
    • Identify delays and drive recovery plans
    • Conduct regular project review meetings and reporting
  • Construction & Site Management
    • Oversee site execution in live production environment
    • Ensure:
      • Safe work execution
      • No disruption to production
      • Proper coordination with tool installs and facilitation plans
  • Quality, Safety & Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with:
      • Micron standards
      • Local authority (e.g., SCDF, PUB, NEA)
      • EHS and cleanroom requirements
  • Project Closeout
    • Manage testing, commissioning, and handover
    • Ensure documentation completeness (as-built, O&M manuals)
    • Transition ownership to operations
Capex Management
  • Purpose
    • To ensure effective planning, tracking, and optimization of capital investments aligned with business and manufacturing needs.
  • CAPEX Planning & Budgeting
    • Develop CAPEX forecast aligned with:
      • Capacity expansion
      • Tool install roadmap
      • Infrastructure readiness
    • Support business case development (cost vs. value)
  • Cost Control & Monitoring
    • Track project cost vs budget (baseline vs actual)
    • Ensure proper financial governance and approvals
    • Monitor commitments
  • Cost Optimization & Savings
    • Drive value engineering and design optimization
    • Partner with procurement for:
      • Vendor negotiation
      • Cost benchmarking
    • Deliver cost-saving initiatives (e.g., hook-up value engineering, vendor competition strategies reflected in your cost‑saving decks)
  • Financial Governance
    • Ensure compliance with:
      • CAPEX approval workflow
      • Procurement and audit requirements
    • Provide monthly/quarterly reporting:
      • Budget vs actual
      • Forecast vs target
  • KPI & Performance Tracking
    • Track:
      • Cost performance (variance %)
      • ROI / savings delivered
      • Project financial health
Hook-Up Management Scope
  • Purpose
    • To ensure efficient, safe, and cost‑effective installation and integration of manufacturing tools into cleanroom and facility systems.
  • Planning & Readiness
    • Coordinate tool hook‑up requirements:
      • Electrical
      • Mechanical (CDA, vacuum, gas, water)
      • Controls & monitoring systems
    • Ensure infrastructure readiness before tool move‑in
  • Execution Management
    • Manage end‑to‑end hook‑up work:
      • Site coordination
      • Contractor execution
      • Sequencing installation with tool suppliers
    • Ensure alignment with:
      • Cleanroom constraints
      • Production schedule
  • Cost & Efficiency Optimization
    • Drive hook‑up cost reduction initiatives, e.g.:
      • Standardization of design
      • Reuse of materials
      • Simplification of installation
    • Work with procurement on pricing optimization
  • Quality & Compliance
    • Ensure installation meets:
      • Tool requirements
      • Cleanroom class and contamination control
      • Safety and regulatory standards
  • Testing, Commissioning & Handover
    • Support:
      • Tool energization
      • Utility verification
      • System integration testing
    • Ensure smooth ramp‑up with manufacturing
AI & Digital Transformation Scope
  • Maintain awareness and working knowledge of relevant AI tools and digital technologies applicable to project management, CAPEX management, and facilities operations.
  • Support the integration of AI and digital solutions into daily work processes, including project tracking, reporting, and analysis.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities where AI or automation can enhance efficiency, reduce manual effort, or improve accuracy.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and cross‑functional teams to support AI‑driven initiatives aligned with organizational priorities.
  • Utilize data and digital tools to enhance decision‑making, problem‑solving, and performance monitoring.
  • Participate in AI upskilling programs and contribute to building a culture that embraces digital innovation and continuous learning.
  • Integrates AI‑assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, exercising sound judgment and complying with organizational standards and legal requirements.

Requirements
  • Education & Experience
    • Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related discipline)
    • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in:
      • Facilities / construction project management
      • Semiconductor or cleanroom environment (preferred)
    • Proven experience managing multi‑disciplinary projects and teams
  • Operational & Compliance Knowledge
