Job summary

HTX in Singapore seeks an Engineer to advance AI-enabled solutions for Home Team use cases. You will join the xDigital AI Products team, designing and delivering AI-powered software across cloud and on-prem environments, collaborating with product managers and engineers to operationalize AI in frontline contexts.

The role emphasizes full-stack development, AI agent orchestration, and iterative improvement through CI/CD, with a focus on public safety applications within HTX’s homeland security

Qualifications

• Degree or higher in CS/CE/AI/DS or related field.
• Hands-on software engineering experience.
• Familiar with CI/CD, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proven ability to work in Agile teams.

Responsibilities

• Work with Home Team officers to integrate AI deployments in real operations.
• Develop, deploy and manage full-stack apps across cloud and on-prem environments via CI/CD.
• Build, deploy and manage AI agents with an AI harness supporting connectors and tools.
• Iterate AI agents by measuring performance and optimizing outcomes.
• Diagnose issues, optimize performance, and deliver measurable results.
• Bridge technical insights to engineering, QA and UI/UX teams for product improvements.
• Keep up to date with AI and full-stack development trends.

The xDigital AI Products team is committed to empower our Home Team Department (HTD)'s flagship projects through the seamless integration of AI technologies. From identifying opportunities to delivery, launch, and continuous enhancement, xDigital aims to push boundaries and setting new standards in homeland security.

As an Engineer / Lead Engineer in xDigital, you will be part of a dynamic engineering team that designs and develops AI-related solutions for Home Team use cases. Operating at the intersection of software engineering, AI engineering, system integration, and frontline operations, you will be responsible for ensuring that AI solutions are successfully implemented and adopted within HTD operational environments. You will work closely with product managers, software / AI engineers, and different stakeholders to build capabilities for our Home Team officers.

What You Will Be Working On

• Work closely with Home Team officers to understand their operational workflows, identify integration points, and tailor AI product deployments to solve immediate, high-impact challenges on the ground.
• Develop, deploy, and manage full-stack applications across diverse environments including commercial cloud and on-premises infrastructure through CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop, deploy, and manage AI agents through an AI agent harness with support for connectors, tools, memory, and sandboxes.
• Rapidly iterate on AI agents by evaluating and improving agent performance.
• Diagnose technical issues, optimize system performance, and deliver measurable outcomes for AI applications in live operational settings.
• Serve as the technical bridge back to core engineering, QA and UI/UX teams, translating field observations and user friction into core product enhancements and architectural improvements.
• Keep abreast with emerging technologies, tools and trends related to full-stack development and AI capabilities.

What We Are Looking For

• Postgraduate / Tertiary qualification in any of the following: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, AI/ML, Data Science or any relevant areas.
• Min. 2 years of hands-on experience in software engineering.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines. Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.
• Experience with software development practices using Agile methodology.
• Able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Able to communicate technical concepts in a clear and effective manner.
• Having knowledge of emerging AI-related technologies and trends.
• Self-motivated team player with excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills and ability to work independently.
• Having domain knowledge in Homeland Security sector will be an added bonus
• Applicants with more than 5 years’ relevant experience will be considered for more senior positions

All new hires are appointed on a two-year contract in the first instance and will be assessed and considered for permanent tenure over time, based on performance.
