What the role is:

The Home Team Science and Technology Agency (HTX) is a statutory board under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) which aims to pioneer innovation solutions and develop world class science and technology capabilities to transform and empower the Home Team in delivering safety and security for Singapore.Reporting to Deputy Director, Sensor Systems, the jobholder will be part of a dynamic team that looks into the management and delivery of projects in the area of Robotics, Automation & Unmanned Systems (RAUS), to enhance the operational effectiveness of the Home Team (HT).

What you will be working on:

Liaise and work with internal and external stakeholders and vendors to deliver projects in the area of RAUS, ensuring that the budget, specifications and any other requirements are being adhered to.Provide regular updates to senior management on project progress, highlighting project milestones, issues and expenditure.Identify potential project risks early and assess its implications to the organisation and project, and to recommend mitigating measures to manage the risks and minimise project delay.Ensure proper integration and testing of all hardware and software components so that the system is delivered to contractual requirements.Prepare technical specifications, system design documents, test plans and test reports.Keep abreast of current RAUS component technologies, which include sensor systems, machine vision, perception, localization, mapping, navigation and autonomous behaviours.Assist in realizing the transition of proven RAUS prototypes into operational systems.

What we are looking for:

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in technology management, preferably in development of unmanned systems or radio frequency/electro-optical sensor systems.Preferably with basic knowledge of IM8, network and cybersecurity.Applicants with more than 5 years’ relevant experience will be considered for more senior positions.Strong interest in RAUS technologies, especially in the area of unmanned aerial systems (drones).Has strong planning and project management skills. PMP or equivalent certification would be an advantage.A willing learner and team player with good interpersonal relationship, organizational and system management skills.Good verbal and written communication skills.Bachelor’s degree in engineering; preferably a Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical / Mechatronics / System Engineering / Communications Engineering / Computer Science.***All new appointees will be appointed on a two-year contract in the first instance.
