Job summary

HTX, Singapore's science and technology agency, seeks an experienced infrastructure professional to lead enterprise and cloud solutions. You will design robust ICT infrastructure, drive automation with IaC and CI/CD, and ensure security across large-scale systems.

You will manage 24/7 operations, coordinate with vendors and users, and establish maintenance best practices to sustain systems throughout their life cycles.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Electronics/ Electrical Engineering, Computer Studies, or related ICT disciplines.
• Minimum 5 years of working experience providing technical consultancy in system/security architecture for enterprise and cloud solutions.
• Experience delivering large-scale cloud and platform initiatives from concept through design, implementation, ongoing operations and migration.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to manage servers through configuration files.
• Setting up and use CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and shipping of code.
• In-depth knowledge of networking and security design and implementation.
• Knowledge of Data Centre maintenance is advantageous.
• Strong cybersecurity knowledge and IT/compliance audit experience.
• Hands-on IT/compliance audit experience.
• Proactive, independent working style with strong problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of System life cycle and 24/7 operational support experience.

Responsibilities

• Recommend, evaluate and procure ICT systems to meet operational needs.

The ICT Infrastructure Sustainment Centre is dedicated to delivering robust and reliable information and communication technology (ICT) infrastructure solutions that empower the operations of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).

What You Will Be Working On

The principal accountabilities of the job holder are to:

• Recommend, evaluate and procure ICT system to meet MHA/HTX's operational needs.


• Serve as a high-level technical resource on large scale system/security designs.


• Have previous experience in managing projects that have transits to warranty/maintenance phase. Work with the vendors, users and relevant parties to ensure systems in warranty or maintenance phase are functioning and performing to specifications.


• Establish and induct best practices in maintenance and support.


• Manage in-service systems to ensure each system’s availability is met to support the User operations.


• Initiate plans to maintain and sustain the functions and capabilities of the systems throughout their life cycle.

What We Are Looking For

Candidates should possess:

• Tertiary qualification in Electronics/ Electrical Engineering, Computer Studies, or related disciplines such as ICT Technology/Telecommunications.


• Minimum 5 years of working experience providing technical consultancy in system/security architecture for enterprise and cloud solutions.


• Demonstrated success in delivering large-scale cloud and platform initiatives from concept through to design, implementation, ongoing operations and application migration.


• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to manage servers through configuration files.


• Setting up and use CI/CD pipelines to automate the testing and shipping of code.


• In-Depth Knowledge of networking and security design and implementation.


• Knowledge of general maintenance of Data Centre facilities will be advantageous.


• Good understanding of cybersecurity knowledge and IT/Compliance Audit.


• Hands on experience in IT/Compliance Audit.


• Proactive and able to work independently with little supervision.


• Possesses creative problem-solving skills.


• Good Systems Engineering knowledge and understanding of the concept of System life cycle.


• Prior experience in maintaining 24/7 operational systems with tight response and turn-around time. All new appointees will be appointed on a two-year contract in the first instance.
