Job summary

RoviSys, a leading automation solutions provider, seeks a Lead Engineer to design, integrate, and configure custom software for clients aiming to automate information sharing between process controls and higher-level systems.

You will mentor teams, define functional requirements, and lead the delivery of MES and data historian solutions, leveraging OT platforms and modern integration protocols to support digital transformation and data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• B.S in engineering, computer science or similar.
• 2-4 years experience in OT platforms and/or data historian applications.
• Strong written and oral communication; client-facing experience.
• Experience in MES or data historian software design, requirement workshop, development cycle.
• Experience with Six Sigma or similar continuous improvement initiatives.
• Self-motivated, independent, proactive and fast to adapt.
• Keeps up to date with industry trends.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement industrial software solutions to aggregate manufacturing data.
• Consult with clients on digital transformation strategies.
• Configure data acquisition from PLC, DCS, SCADA, HMIs.
• Lead teams of engineers and developers to deliver software solutions.
• Provide technical sales support to the Business Development Team.
• Lead gap analysis and user requirement workshops.
• Architect software solutions with the Solution Architect.
• Ensure compliance with ISO project execution methodology.

Job description

A Lead Engineer at RoviSys, you will work on exciting digital projects, design, integrate and configure custom software for clients wishing to automate sharing of information between process controls and higher-level systems, or to organize and report information for use in making business decision. You will work directly with clients to define functional requirements and design, configure, commission and qualify automation software or MES solutions. You will also mentor and lead teams of less experienced engineer/developers to provide state of the art software solutions to address technology decisions, data management, scalability, security and user interface design.

Description of work:

• Design and implement industrial software solutions using the appropriate technologies, to aggregate manufacturing systems information
• Consult with clients on digital transformation strategies within their facilities.
• Configure data acquisition from PLC, DCS, SCADAs, HMIs and Instrumentation.
• Design and implement different software solutions such as Manufacturing Execution System (MES), data historian.
• Work on solutions leveraging commercial Software/MES platforms
• Lead teams of engineers, developers to provide software solutions for clients
• Provide technical sales support to RoviSys Business Development Team
• Lead gap analysis and user requirement workshops
• Analyse information and requirements, assist Solution Architect in architecting the software solution
• Understand and adhere to ISO project execution methodology.
• Mentor less-experienced engineers/developers

Success Factors:

• Strong understanding of OT Systems and data integration
• Ability to understand Information System architectures
• Proven track record on managing projects from start to finish
• Experience in Automation platforms such as AVEVA PI, IP21, Ignition is an advantage

Qualifications:

• B.S in engineering, computer science or similar and/or relevant industrial experience.
• 2-4 years experiences in OT platforms and/or data historian applications
• Demonstrated written and oral communication skills, experienced in client facing environment
• Experience in MES or data historian software design, requirement workshop, development cycle
• Experience defining and implementing technical solutions as part of Six Sigma or similar continuous improvement initiatives.
• Motivated self-starter, quick to adapt and work independently with minimal supervision.
