Job summary

ST Engineering Info-security is seeking a Software System Architect to lead the architecture, design and development of embedded software, firmware and application-level solutions for high-performance security products.

The role focuses on defining system architectures, guiding technical decisions, and leading software teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions across complex projects. Location is Singapore, near Marymount MRT, with the group offering strong cybersecurity expertise.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in embedded systems and software design with leadership experience.
• Proficient in C/C++, Rust, Python and Bash scripting.
• Experience with embedded Linux, Yocto or PetaLinux; RTOS/bare-metal a plus.
• Solid hardware–software integration and debugging skills.
• Knowledge of networking (Ethernet, IP/TCP/UDP) and security fundamentals.
• Familiar with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines and tooling such as GitLab and Docker.

Responsibilities

• Define and own end-to-end software architecture for embedded and application-level systems.
• Translate requirements into scalable, secure, maintainable software architectures.
• Define system interfaces, integration strategies and roadmaps across hardware/software domains.
• Develop architectural specifications, design standards and implementation guidelines.
• Evaluate technologies to balance performance, security, cost and maintainability.
