Job summary

NV5 Mission Critical, a division of NV5 Global, Inc., seeks an Electrical Commissioning Engineer for its Singapore team. Lead the technical aspects of commissioning for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems on diverse construction projects, mentor junior engineers, and develop standard documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years’ experience in design consultancy, commissioning, electrical equipment vendor or electrical contractor.
• Experience on buildings construction projects.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems within building services.
• Strong understanding of commissioning process for electrical systems.
• Knowledge of electrical equipment including HV/MV switchgear, transformers, cables, LV switchboards, UPS, generators, interlocking, relays, power monitoring, busbars, ATS.
• Experience in Data Centre, laboratory or semiconductor projects is advantageous.
• Familiarity with data center infrastructure and integration of MEP systems.

Responsibilities

• Witness and report on FAT activities.
• Inspect and report on installation quality and commissioning readiness.
• Attend and witness testing and commissioning during construction on site.
• Review design drawings, test scripts, results, and documents from commissioning perspective.
• Attend and contribute to commissioning meetings with client and contractors.
• Assist with development of IST plans and scripts.
• Participate in IST on site.
• Assist with weekly and monthly commissioning progress reports.
• Review vendors’ O&M manuals and training plans.
• Contribute to in-house electrical training modules (approx. 4 sessions/year).
• Act as SME on electrical engineering topics related to building services.
