Job summary

AstraZeneca Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a Digital Associate Director (Data Engineer) to design the data backbone for a digitally enabled manufacturing site. You will translate business priorities into scalable data architectures, pipelines and analytics applications that support real-time decision making, governance and operational excellence across Production, Quality, Engineering and Supply Chain.

Reporting to the Digital Lead, you will lead cross‑functional projects, build trusted data

Qualifications

• 5+ years in digital transformation, data engineering, analytics, or related roles.
• Proven track record delivering digital solutions or Industry 4.0 initiatives in manufacturing (pharma/biologics preferred).
• Experience building robust data foundations and scalable pipelines for analytics, AI and digital twins.
• Ability to lead cross-functional change in regulated environments.
• Proven lead on end-to-end data science initiatives with measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Digital Roadmap Delivery: partner to implement the digital roadmap for site operations.
• Program and Project Delivery: lead digital projects with clear scope, milestones and risk management.
• End-to-End Digital Integration: define data flows and integration points across platforms.
• Data Architecture and Pipelines: design and maintain site-level data architectures and pipelines.
• Trusted Data Foundations: establish data standards, governance and documentation.
• Analytics and AI Enablement: prepare data for dashboards, predictive analytics and AI solutions.
• Performance and Adoption: track progress, drive user adoption and iterative improvements.
• Governance and Prioritisation: support value-based prioritisation decisions.
• Digital Capability Building: drive digital literacy and training.
• Innovation and Continuous Improvement: balance innovation with GMP compliance.
