Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support reliability, automation, and operational efficiency of a high-performance trading platform. You will maintain infrastructure, tooling, and deployment pipelines across regions to ensure uptime, performance, and scalable delivery.

The role requires 5+ years in DevOps/SRE, strong Python/Bash, Linux expertise, and experience with CI/CD, IaC, and container technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 5+ years in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Production Engineering roles.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash/shell scripting on Linux.
• Strong Linux (RHEL/CentOS) administration.
• Solid networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing).
• Hands-on with CI/CD systems (Jenkins, GitLab CI) and automated tests.
• Familiarity with configuration management and infrastructure-as-code (Ansible, Puppet, Salt).
• Exposure to containerization/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) in multi-region production.
• Ability to support incident management and read/debug C++ codebases.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools and validating AI outputs.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain CI/CD pipeline infrastructure (build orchestration, automated testing, artifact management, multi-region deployments).
• Implement automation using Python and Bash for provisioning and configuration management.
• Manage Linux production and development environments (RHEL).
• Contribute to infrastructure-as-code for consistent deployment topology across environments.
• Build and operate monitoring, alerting, and observability for latency-sensitive systems.
• Assist with network configuration for market data distribution and exchange connectivity.
• Follow reliability practices including automated failover, DR procedures, and post-incident reviews.
• Develop and maintain internal developer tooling to improve productivity.
• Collaborate across teams to drive operational improvements and production readiness.
• Lead adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices with validation standards.
