Job summary

Molex in Singapore is seeking a Development Process Engineer to lead a focused team supporting the product development process, ensuring robust design and manufacturability for low and high volumes. You will collaborate with product and SI engineers, tooling PEs, and plant MEs to drive improvements and manufacturing strategies.

The role emphasizes identifying design limitations, enabling design for manufacturability, and delivering tooling development from concept through to high-volume

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of mechanical engineering experience related to precision electromechanical components.
• Experience with synchronous, asynchronous, and manual assembly systems.
• 3-5 years of project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead a focused team of product and SI engineers, tooling PEs and plant MEs to support the product development process for robust design and manufacturability in low and high volumes.
• Identify design limitations and recommend improvements to meet DFM and inspection guidelines.
• Lead proof-of-concept work early in design to verify new technologies in product or process design.
• Develop manufacturing strategies for new products and drive tooling development to meet cost, lead time and quality targets.
• Support transfer of tooling processes and equipment to NPI and manufacturing plants; assist in debugging new products and processes.
