Job summary

Molex in Singapore is seeking a Development Process Engineer to lead a focused team supporting the product development process, ensuring robust design and manufacturability for both low and high volumes.

You will work with product and SI engineers, tooling PEs, and plant MEs to identify design limitations, develop manufacturing strategies, and execute plans to meet customer expectations while driving cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering related to precision electromechanical components.
• Experience with synchronous, asynchronous, flexible robotics, and manual assembly systems.
• 3-5 years of project management experience.
• Working knowledge of SPC and DOE.
• Ability to maintain trust and confidentiality with sensitive information.
• Strong organizational skills to manage complex technical data and multiple priorities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication across all levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead a focused team to support product development and manufacturability in low and high volumes.
• Identify design limitations and suggest improvements to meet DFM and inspection guidelines.
• Lead proof-of-concept work to verify new technology or concepts and reduce risk.
• Develop manufacturing strategies and manage tooling development to meet quality, cost, and lead-time targets.
• Collaborate with product, marketing management, finance, and senior management on multi-scenario cost analyses.
• Support transfer of tooling processes to NPI and manufacturing plants and assist in debugging.
