Lead Data Scientist - Mediacorp

We are seeking a seasoned Lead Data Scientist to spearhead and expand our data science practice at Mediacorp. The ideal candidate will guide and mentor a team of data scientists, translating large datasets into actionable insights to drive business success.

1. Lead and grow the data science team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
2. Analyze and interpret extensive data sets, applying machine learning and deep learning techniques to generate meaningful insights.
3. Design and implement quantitative models, including forecasting, predictive analytics, identity graphs, and recommendation systems to optimize performance and outcomes.
4. Establish internal benchmarks and best practices for data science methodologies.
5. Support product development by understanding business needs, documenting data requirements, and resolving data architecture conflicts.
6. Become the internal authority on Mediacorp's data tools and analytics outputs.
7. Assist with ad-hoc strategic data science initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

• PhD or MS in Statistics, Mathematics, Machine Learning, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related fields.
• At least 10 years of hands-on experience in machine learning or advanced analytics, including model development and deployment.
• Proven team management experience.
• Strong technical expertise with a comprehensive range of analytical techniques for commercial challenges.
• Proficiency in at least one statistical analysis tool.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, or Python.
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to present findings confidently to stakeholders.
• Basic knowledge of data engineering principles and architecture.
