We are constantly seeking bright minds from around the world to join our team and contribute to their personal growth and success while supporting our culture of diversity and experimentation.As a Data Scientist at Agoda, you will have the opportunity to work on challenging machine learning and big data platforms, processing over 600 billion events daily and making 5 billion predictions. You will be part of the Data Science and Machine Learning team, tackling real-world challenges such as dynamic pricing, customer intent prediction, search result ranking, content classification, and personalized recommendations.In this role, you will design, code, experiment, and implement models and algorithms to maximize customer experience, business outcomes, and infrastructure readiness. You will mine a vast amount of data to discover actionable insights that can drive improvements and innovations. Collaboration with developers and various business owners is key to delivering daily results with the best quality. Additionally, you will research and harness new ideas to make a difference.To succeed in this role, you will need at least 4 years of hands-on data science experience, a strong understanding of AI/ML/DL and Statistics, coding proficiency in languages such as Python, PySpark, and/or Scala, as well as good communication and interpersonal skills for working in a multicultural environment. A PhD or MSc in Computer Science/Operations Research/Statistics or related fields, experience in NLP/image processing/recommendation systems, and hands-on experience with big data frameworks like Spark/Hadoop are considered advantageous.Agoda welcomes both local and international applications for this role, offering full visa sponsorship and relocation assistance for eligible candidates.
