Job summary

Energy Market Authority in Singapore seeks a data engineer to design, build and operate secure, scalable data platforms and pipelines. You will transform diverse energy-sector data into trusted data products for regulatory, operational, analytics and AI needs.

You will work across cloud and on-prem environments, implement automated data validation and monitoring, and collaborate with business users, architects and data scientists to deliver reliable data solutions.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in data engineering and data integration.
• Strong SQL and one programming language (Python/Java/Scala).
• Knowledge of AWS or Azure data services and data governance principles.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, deploy and maintain robust data pipelines.
• Develop data platforms (data lakes, lakes, warehouses) on cloud and on-premises.
• Create reusable ETL/ELT components and data models.
• Implement data validation, monitoring, lineage and alerts.
• Optimize performance, storage, and cost while maintaining SLAs.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts and business users.
