Job Purpose

This position will deliver high-quality business intelligence, analytics, and reporting capabilities to the business. It serves as a key liaison with the applications and operational teams to support their reporting and analytic needs by gathering requirements, prototyping, architecting, testing, and delivering capabilities. The role partners with stakeholders across IT and business units to develop solutions and generate insights using analytics tools and methods. Additionally, it contributes to the strategic IT plan on how BI and analytics can transform the business, providing scalable solutions to impact current and future operating models.

Job Context & Major Challenges

There is a strong emphasis on accelerating the digital transformation journey across businesses to make ABG a Digital First conglomerate. Availability of quality data is crucial for all digital projects, necessitating a centralized data repository accessible to users like analysts, product managers, and executives. Advanced analytics are primarily possible on data lakes. The role involves leading requirement gathering sessions, collaborating with the business to identify data needs, designing reporting solutions, and evolving the BI landscape to meet future needs.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Continuous improvement and competency development: Collaborate with stakeholders, conduct refresher courses, share best practices, and establish knowledge-sharing platforms.
  2. Manage application operations and reliability: Partner with application teams, improve adoption, provide technical support, define metrics, and ensure data quality and compliance.
  3. Build and maintain Data Lake platform: Develop architecture, implement data cataloging, supervise data modeling, document data flows, and ensure data quality and security.
