Job summary

JPMorgan Chase seeks a Lead Data Architect to join the Specialty Platform and Services in Singapore. You will help develop high-quality data architecture solutions for diverse software applications and platform products, shaping the global target state architecture through multi-domain expertise.

You will collaborate with engineering teams, governance bodies, and vendors to drive data-driven decisions, ensure security, and advance the firm’s data frameworks and practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or related disciplines.
• 5+ years of experience in data architecture, including system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Advanced knowledge of architecture, applications, and technical processes with depth in cloud, AI/ML, or related areas.
• Practical cloud native experience and ability to evaluate current and emerging technologies.

Responsibilities

• Represents the data architecture team at technical governance bodies and provides feedback on data architecture governance practices.
• Evaluates new and current technologies using data architecture standards and frameworks.
• Provides technical guidance to business teams, contractors, and vendors.
• Develops secure, high-quality production code and reviews code written by others.
• Drives data architecture decisions impacting product design and operations.
• Acts as a subject matter expert in one or more focus areas.

Job responsibilities

• Represents the data architecture team at technical governance bodies and provides feedback regarding proposed improvements regarding data architecture governance practices
• Evaluates new and current technologies using existing data architecture standards and frameworks
• Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors
• Develops secure, high-quality production code and reviews and debugs code written by others
• Drives data architecture decisions that impact product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes
• Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus
• Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide data frameworks, tools, and practices in the Software Development Life Cycle
• Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies
• Advises junior architects and technologists

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or related disciplines
• 5+ years of experience in data architecture, including system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Advanced in one or more programming languages, applications, and architecture
• Advanced knowledge of architecture, applications, and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
• Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight
• Practical cloud native experience
• Ability to evaluate current and emerging technologies to select or recommend the best solutions for the future state architecture
