Job summary

JPMorganChase in Singapore seeks a Lead Software Engineer in the Payments Technology team to deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, scalable way. You will be a core technical contributor, designing and deploying solutions across multiple domains to support the firm’s objectives.

You will mentor juniors, contribute to architecture discussions, and help drive automation and DevOps practices across the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or related disciplines.
• 5+ years of experience in system engineering or software development.
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Advanced in Core Java, Spring Boot, Reactive Java usages and familiarity with go-lang.
• Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods.
• Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
• Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within cloud, AI, ML, mobile, etc.
• Proficient in full stack development with Java 21, Spring Boot, AWS EKS, ECS, Kubernetes, Terraform.

Responsibilities

• Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems.
• Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others.
• Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and system.
• Leads evaluation sessions with business stakeholders and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs and applicability for existing systems.
• Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new leading-edge technologies.
• Mentor junior candidates and leverage AI skills to improve operation efficiency.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or related disciplines
• Formal training or certification on engineering concepts and 5+ years of experience in system engineering or software development.
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Advanced in Core Java, Spring Boot, Reactive Java usages and familiarity with go-lang.
• Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
• Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
• Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
• Proficient in full stack development skill Java 21, Spring Boot, AWS EKS, ECS, Kubernetes, terraform building into Public Cloud and CD/CD strategies.
• Familiarity with Dynatrace, data-dog, monitoring and alerting setup in AWS environment.
