Job Opportunity: Lead Cyber Security Engineer

Are you interested in working in the Product Security team? Do you enjoy making software secure and guiding product teams on security design and risk assessments? If so, read on!

We are seeking a Lead Cyber Security Engineer responsible for assisting product teams in improving security risk management, threat modeling, and SBOM management.

Key Responsibilities

1. Act as a domain specialist during threat modeling and security design discussions.
2. Assist in developing and improving security risk management and assessment processes.
3. Educate product teams on security risk management aligned with current processes.
4. Review and provide feedback on product security design and risk assessments.
5. Ensure software bills of materials are crafted, maintained, and monitored for vulnerabilities.
6. Document and communicate security risks and deficiencies with product teams.
7. Track plans, timelines, and implementations of security controls across product lines.
8. Identify evolving security threats and advise on their mitigation.
9. Manage, monitor, and track third-party compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a security role focused on risk measurement and monitoring.
• Understanding of Cybersecurity Frameworks and their application.

Preferred Experience

• Software development in life sciences or medical device domains.
• Familiarity with C#, C++, or Java.
• Knowledge of FDA QSR 21 CFR 820, ISO 13485:2003, and medical device regulations.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with Secure Development Lifecycle, threat modeling, cryptography, PKI, and key management.
• Experience conducting internal audits and external audits.
• Experience with Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA).
