Reporting to the General Manager, Commercial Excellence & Pricing Governance, you are responsible for supporting the delivery of a world-class commercial organization by identifying, developing, and implementing best-in-class sales and marketing management processes and tools.

This role is based in Singapore.

Key Accountabilities:

Benchmarking and Gap Assessment

  • Regularly benchmark the commercial performance of the organization internally and externally against the industry.
  • Conduct gap assessments and identify opportunities to improve effectiveness in all aspects of commercial activities.

Develop and drive commercial excellence initiatives

  • Lead and champion the organization in developing, designing, and implementing key initiatives in areas such as but not limited to:
  • Pricing Excellence
  • Cost and Margin Analysis
  • Customer Management
  • Customer Segmentation
  • Commercial Offerings
  • Value Proposition
  • Sales Force Effectiveness
  • Channel Management
  • Performance Management
  • Competency Excellence
  • IT tools
  • Utilize project management discipline to execute key initiatives and deliver milestones timely.
  • Communicate effectively and provide training support to ensure full understanding of new processes and tools.
  • Conduct regular feedback sessions or surveys on the effectiveness of new initiatives as part of the i5 project management process.
  • Performance Management

    • Deploy and oversee governance around the implemented initiatives.
    • Develop and monitor KPI dashboards for regular review.
    • Analyze gaps in non-compliance and recommend corrective actions.

    Cross Functional Team Leadership

    • Conduct regular reviews and discussions with senior leadership on key initiatives, progress, and regional performance benchmarks.
    • Communicate regularly with regional sales management to identify gaps and recommend solutions for best-in-class performance.

    Project Management

    • Maintain the standard project management framework and act as a network champion to guide and support project implementation using the i5 methodology.
    • Manage project portfolio tracking to support and optimize resources based on priority.

    About You:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, or Engineering.
    • An MBA is advantageous.
    • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in petrochemical or related industries.
    • Thorough understanding of customer and value chain segments.
    • Strong knowledge of marketing and sales management techniques and tools.
    • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
    • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to see the big picture.
    • Self-initiative with the ability to propose pragmatic new ideas and approaches.
    • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging with senior management, colleagues, and external customers.
    • Ability to manage key stakeholders in a large, complex, and evolving organization, achieving alignment.
    • Strong team player, fostering stakeholder relationships and a culture of continuous improvement.
    • Ability to multitask, react quickly to needs, and meet tight deadlines.
    • Cultural sensitivity to region-specific practices.
