Job summary
Recruit Now Singapore Pte Ltd in West Singapore is seeking an experienced coating engineer to develop, evaluate and optimize coating systems using HVOF, thermal spray, and related technologies. The role collaborates with manufacturing, quality, supply chain and global engineering teams to resolve production issues.
You will investigate coating failures, prepare technical reports and tests, and drive continuous improvement for coating quality and lifecycle performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in engineering or a related field.
- 5–10 years of experience in HVOF, thermal spray, or related surface engineering.
- Strong understanding of Lean principles and continuous improvement.
- Experience with root cause analysis and CAPA implementations.
Responsibilities
- Develop, evaluate, and optimize coating systems using HVOF and thermal spray.
- Investigate coating failures: adhesion, corrosion, cracking, and degradation.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and global teams to implement processes.
- Provide technical support for internal teams, customers, and vendors.
- Prepare technical reports, test plans, and engineering recommendations.
- Drive continuous improvement for coating quality and lifecycle performance.
- Apply best practices and assess competition in the market.
- Lead small projects and guide less experienced colleagues.
