Job summary
Esco Aster Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks a senior scientist to lead cell line development and characterization for therapeutic manufacturing, driving immortalization, GMP-compliant banking, and regulatory support.
PhD with 5+ years in cell biology is required, plus hands-on work with hTERT-based immortalization, transfection platforms, and data-driven decision-making, in a collaborative, fast‑paced GMP setting.
Qualifications
- Master or PhD with 5+ years post-doctoral or industry experience in cell line development.
- Experience with hTERT-based immortalization and single-cell cloning workflows.
- GMP-compliant MCB/WCB establishment and release testing.
- Strong knowledge of ICH guidelines Q5A, Q5B, Q5D, and Q6B.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute cell line creation strategies for a range of primary human cell types used in therapeutic manufacturing.
- Lead immortalization programs from vector selection through to single-cell cloning, expansion, and stability assessment.
- Evaluate and implement gene delivery methods (viral and non-viral) for stable transgene introduction.
- Support client technology transfer activities related to cell line creation workflows, as required by project scope.
