We are currently looking for a good mobile game maker who can hands-on turn ideas into fun and engaging games.
Concept Development: Collaborate with the creative team to brainstorm and develop innovative game concepts and mechanics tailored for casual audiences.
Trend Research: Stay updated on industry trends, player preferences, and competitive games to inform design decisions and innovation in casual gaming.
Game Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive design documents that outline game mechanics, character designs, and level layouts for internal teams.
Game Balancing: Design and refine gameplay mechanics to ensure an engaging user experience, focusing on pacing, difficulty curves, and player progression.
UI Design: Create intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces that enhance the player's experience and facilitate smooth navigation.
Art Direction Collaboration: Work closely with artists to define the visual style of games, ensuring that graphics, animations, and environments align with the casual game’s theme.
Player Testing and Feedback Implementation: Organize and conduct playtesting sessions to gather player feedback, then analyze results to iterate on game design and features.
Analytics Integration: Collaborate with colleagues to implement gameplay metrics and analytics tools that assist in tracking player behavior and game performance and present to stakeholders.
Monetization Strategy: Contribute to the development of monetization strategies such as in-app purchases, ads, and engagement features tailored for the casual game market.
Cross-Discipline Collaboration: Work alongside developers, artists, and designers to ensure all elements of the game are cohesively integrated and meet design specifications.
Job Requirements:
Strong understanding of the market and target audiences for casual mobile gamers.
Possess good gaming experience, plays a range of games including Steam games, WeChat's mini casual games etc.
Excellent communication – active listening skills, accessible verbal and written presentation
Able to work independently and under pressure and produce results under sometimes tight schedules
Self-directed within a team context
