Job summary

Thakral One in Singapore seeks a Lead Business Analyst – AI & Data to drive the analysis function for AI initiatives, data strategies, and measurable business value. You'll bridge business and tech teams, shaping adoption and delivering data-driven solutions.

You’ll own roadmaps, gather requirements, and translate them into user stories and specs. Strong governance, risk, and regulatory awareness are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (as stated).
• 10+ years of experience in business analysis, solution design, or product management within the IT industry.
• At least 5 years of experience with AI, machine learning, and data technologies including Generative AI, NLP, and predictive analytics.
• Proven track record of leading AI initiatives from ideation through implementation.
• Experience within banking, financial services, or other regulated industries is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the AI, Generative AI, and data business capability roadmap aligned with enterprise strategy.

As a Lead Business Analyst – AI & Data, you will lead the business analysis function for AI, Generative AI, and data initiatives, ensuring solutions are aligned with strategic objectives and deliver measurable business value. You will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams, driving AI adoption, shaping data strategies, and guiding the delivery of innovative AI and data driven solutions.

What You’ll Do and How You’ll Succeed

Strategic Planning, Governance, Stakeholder Management

• Define and maintain the AI, Generative AI, and data business capability roadmap aligned with enterprise strategy.
• Collaborate with enterprise architects and solution teams to ensure AI and data initiatives comply with governance and regulatory requirements.
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement to gather business requirements and translate them into actionable insights.
• Champion AI adoption by articulating business value, use cases, and transformation opportunities across business units.

Business Analysis & Solution Design

• Lead the discussion, documentation, and validation of business requirements for AI, Generative AI, and data solutions.
• Conduct gap analyses, feasibility studies, and impact assessments for proposed initiatives.
• Work closely with data scientists, engineers, and architects to ensure business needs are translated into effective technical solutions.
• Develop user stories, process flows, and functional specifications for AI and data related applications.

AI and Data Use Case Development & Advisory

• Identify high impact AI and data use cases and assess their business value and implementation feasibility.
• Support the design and prototyping of AI and data solutions, including chatbots, predictive models, data management capabilities, and automation workflows.
• Advise business units on leveraging technologies such as Microsoft OpenAI, Power Platform, Azure AI Services, Tableau, and Power BI.
• Ensure AI solutions align with data privacy, ethical AI principles, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with risk and compliance teams to assess and mitigate risks related to AI deployments.

Experience

• You hold a bachelor’s degree in business administration, computer science, data science, artificial intelligence, or a related field.
• You have at least 10 years of experience in business analysis, solution design, or product management within the IT industry.
• You have at least 5 years of experience working with AI, machine learning, and data technologies, including Generative AI, natural language processing, and predictive analytics.
• You have a proven track record of leading AI related initiatives from ideation through implementation.
• Experience within banking, financial services, or other regulated industries is preferred.

Technical Expertise

• Good understanding of AI and machine learning concepts, data lifecycle management, and model deployment.
• Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, and cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
• Ability to interpret data science outputs and convert them into actionable business recommendations.
• Experience working with large language models such as GPT, Claude, and Llama, and their business applications.
