Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Build Engineer to manage, optimize, and support enterprise Linux environments and middleware platforms. This role is critical in delivering robust infrastructure solutions, driving automation, and leading deployments across various systems including RHEL, JBoss, WebLogic, MQ, and Kafka. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring operational excellence and infrastructure scalability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and manage Linux/Unix servers and related applications.
  • Develop, deploy, and maintain services on platforms such as RHEL, JBoss, WebLogic, MQ, and Kafka.
  • Lead technical teams in the configuration, optimization, and deployment of middleware solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex system, software, and networking issues.
  • Drive automation efforts using Unix shell scripting and configuration management tools.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries for Oracle or MySQL databases.
  • Ensure robust system security, patching, and compliance across all environments.
  • Support infrastructure-related incidents and provide after-hours support as part of an on-call rotation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on deployments, system upgrades, and project delivery.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Contribute to architecture planning, infrastructure strategy, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Monitor system health and performance, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery readiness.
Requirements

Technical Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Linux system administration.
  • Hands-on experience with:
    JBoss, WebLogic, Kafka, MQ
    Shell scripting
    and SQL (Oracle/MySQL)
    Middleware platforms and enterprise-level infrastructure
  • Experience in VMware administration is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, and system monitoring tools.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Red Hat Certified Specialist
  • VMware certifications (VCP, etc.)
