Job summary

Startale is seeking a Senior DevOps/Infrastructure Engineer to own the production infrastructure behind StartaleApp and Strium. You will architect, build, and operate cloud and blockchain-backed systems with a focus on reliability and performance.

You will work across Kubernetes, databases, and security, driving automation and incident response in a fast-paced, globally distributed team that operates primarily in US time zones.

Qualifications

• 5+ years lead/engineer roles in DevOps, SRE, or infra.
• Proven production infra for highly available systems.
• Deep hands-on Kubernetes, AWS, and Linux experience.
• IaC with Terraform, GitOps, and CI/CD automation.
• Strong networking fundamentals: DNS, load balancing, TLS, service discovery.
• PostgreSQL in production: replication, backups, performance.
• High-availability design, incident response, root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Own infrastructure architecture and operations for StartaleApp, Strium, and other prod systems.
• Design, build, and operate highly available AWS cloud infra: Kubernetes, networking, storage, upgrades.
• Manage everything as code: Terraform, GitOps, and CI/CD pipelines with safe rollouts.
• Operate PostgreSQL in production: availability, replication, backups, performance.
• Build observability across infra, apps, databases, and blockchain nodes, with early alerting.
• Run blockchain infra (nodes, RPC services, indexers) and monitor protocol-level issues.
• Design disaster recovery and failover; harden security: access control, secrets, vulnerability management.
• Diagnose production incidents across the full stack and automate to remove bottlenecks.
