Job summary

A national membership organization in Singapore is looking for an experienced UI/UX Designer to lead the transformation of their lifestyle app and website. The role involves driving user experiences, developing design systems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Ideal candidates should have at least 5 years of hands-on experience in mobile application design and proficiency in tools like Figma and Adobe XD. This is a temporary six-month position with potential for conversion to a full-time role.

Job description

Join us in the UI/UX transformation of our flagship lifestyle app and website, connecting national servicemen to our facilities, activities, deals, and rewards. Help them discover the full value and exclusivity of SAFRA membership, while driving app adoption, engagement, and satisfaction through user-focused design.

1. Drive end-to-end user and design journeys

a. Apply user-centric design principles to deliver consistent and engaging frontend experience across SAFRA’s mobile app and related digital platforms such as website and portal.

b. Structure and organize content to provide an intuitive user experience tailored to our key audiences: National servicemen, members and guests.

c. Conduct usability testing, gather market insights and utilize analytics to continuously improve customer experience and satisfaction.

d. Collaborate closely with product manager, business stakeholders, developers, and project team to translate business requirements into UI/UX solutions.

2. Develop the SAFRA’s digital design system and language:

a. Establish and maintain a unified design direction and visual language for digital products.

b. Define aesthetic standards, motion design guidelines, and component behaviour to ensure a cohesive brand and user experience across platforms.

3. Build wireframes, user flows and interactive prototypes:

a. Use tools such as Figma and Adobe XD to design and prototype user interfaces.

b. Clearly communicate design concepts and user journeys to stakeholders and explain how users will interact to drive business objectives.

c. Iterate designs to address users, team members and stakeholders’ feedback.

d. Work directly with developers to assess feasibility, test and prototype, followed by implementation and to-spec verifications.

4. Supporting roles

a. Assist the Product Manager with app acquisition and user engagement campaigns to drive downloads and usage.

b. App community management: Monitor user feedback channels (e.g. app store reviews, support tickets).

This is a 6 months temporary position that may be considered for conversion to a full-time role based on satisfactory performance and company discretion.

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Design or related field. Recognized UI/UX certification(s) and suitably qualified work experience are preferred.

· At least 5 years of hands-on UI/UX experience in mobile application design (iOS and Android)

· Proven experience in creating user flows, wireframes, mock-ups and interactive prototypes. Experience in developing design systems/language is advantageous.

· Strong understanding of user-centric design principles and best practices.

· Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (especially XD) or similar.

· Experience in conducting user research, usability testing and utilizing analytics to improve customer experience.

· Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate design considerations and recommendations aligned with business objectives.

· Familiarity with agile methodologies and experience working in cross-functional teams.

· Working knowledge of HTML/CSS and collaboration with front-end developers.

· Familiarity with digital advertising is a plus.

· Detail-oriented with strong project and time management skills.

· A positive, proactive and collaborative team player.
