Job Description

Role Purpose

The purpose of this role is to provide significant technical expertise in architecture planning and design of the concerned tower (platform, database, middleware, backup etc) as well as managing its day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities
  • Support architecture planning, migration & installation for new projects in own tower (platform/dbase/middleware/backup)
    • Lead the structural/architectural design of platforms, middleware, databases, backups, etc., ensuring scalable and extensible solutions.
    • Conduct capacity planning based on current and future requirements.
    • Leverage new features of underlying technologies for optimal operation.
    • Implement disaster recovery, backup, and recovery plans.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the tower
    • Troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and develop fixes.
    • Plan and manage upgrades, migrations, maintenance, backups, and configurations.
    • Review performance and optimize for efficiency.
    • Develop shift rosters and create/update SOPs, manuals, and operational documents.
    • Provide weekly status reports to stakeholders.
    • Use technology for automation and process improvements.
Team Management
  • Resourcing
    • Forecast talent needs, hire, and train team members.
  • Talent and Performance Management
    • Ensure onboarding and training compliance.
    • Build internal talent pools and promote diversity.
    • Set goals, conduct performance reviews, and provide feedback.
  • Employee Engagement
    • Drive engagement initiatives, monitor satisfaction, and assign enriching projects.
Deliverables
  • Operational SLA adherence, knowledge management, customer satisfaction, risk mitigation.
  • Timely delivery of new projects, avoiding unauthorized changes, and minimizing escalations.
