The Solution Engineer is responsible for leading solutions throughout the sales cycle and providing thought leadership to transform customer experiences.
The Solutions Engineer is an experienced professional who collaborates with colleagues, contributes to team culture, and supports the sales team in creating solutions for prospects and customers.
To succeed, the Solutions Engineer must have a strong vision, translating business objectives into compelling and actionable recommendations. They act as a trusted advisor, supporting the customer’s transformational journey.
Responsibilities
- Manage organizations across various industries to understand challenges and goals through discovery sessions and workshops.
- Work closely with current and prospective customers as a trusted advisor to understand their unique challenges and goals.
- Build trusted relationships with senior executives and key decision-makers across Business and Technology.
- Create initial Business Architecture and engage Business/IT teams accordingly.
- Develop and deliver innovative custom solutions and concepts to address business issues, aligned with business value.
- Coordinate and lead the entire solution cycle with technical and business resources.
- Understand and articulate the benefits of Salesforce to stakeholders from staff to C-level executives.
- Present Salesforce and partner solutions, maintaining strong customer and partner relationships.
- Demonstrate initiative, self-motivation, and deliver high-quality results meeting expectations.
- Participate in internal training and mentorship programs to grow your career.
- Proven track record in developing and delivering differentiated solutions and presentations to key decision-makers.
- Manage sales cycles involving multiple internal and external resources.
- Willingness and ability to travel occasionally.
Skills and Experience
- B.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, or equivalent experience.
- Understanding of Cloud Computing, SFA, Service & Support, Marketing, and Mobile solutions.
- Experience in business case/value engineering to drive compelling insights.
- Knowledge of applications, relational databases, and web technologies.
- Strong communication, presentation, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Teamwork skills to solve technical problems in diverse environments.
- Ability to translate needs into a clear vision and roadmap.
- Experience in solution engineering, consultancy, or training within software organizations.
