LCL Consolidation Ops Manager

The ideal candidate will have an ability to create and maintain an efficient system of operation to support the business needs. The candidate should be comfortable multitasking and working cross-functionally with different business units. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in related fields.

Responsibilities

1. Establish and maintain business standards for accuracy, productivity and reliability
2. Manage the daily functions of the business
3. Prepare annual performance review and reevaluate processes
4. Ensure regulatory, compliance and legal rules are followed
5. Manage budget to align with goals of business
6. Manage a team of import, export, transshipment & nomination staff
7. Plan for team's development, setup for SOPs where required
8. Monitor and aid in solving day to day issues where needed
9. Managing department budgets and get involved in setting targets
10. Handle Shipping Claims where needed
11. Manage elevated customer concerns and negotiate claims
12. Prepare performance reports & improvement plans
13. Negotiate with Carriers, Warehouse Operators or Distribution networks to determine favorable Tariffs

Qualifications

1. 5+ years of experience in a similar role
2. Proficiency with Microsoft Office
3. Strong organizational and communication skills
4. Strong ability to multitask
5. Comfort working with multiple groups within business
6. 5 years of work experience in NVOCC preferred
7. A Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Maritime Studies or equivalent
8. Strong Interpersonal Skills
9. Ability to make decisions at critical moments
10. Experienced in using Sysfreight Software preferred
