Job summary

A technology manufacturing company in Singapore is seeking a Laser Production Technician. The role involves manufacturing and testing lasers, troubleshooting fiber-based assemblies, and working with optical, mechanical, and electrical sub-assemblies. Ideal candidates will have a Diploma in Engineering and at least three years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job description

We are looking for an exceptional Laser Production Technician who can…

  • Manufacture and test of lasers, laser sub-assemblies and laser components against documented specifications
  • Perform Fiber handling, splicing, routing, pig-tailing, operating laser diodes
  • Troubleshoot fiber based assemblies and laser diode issues
  • Perform fiber based assembly and optical alignment to specification
  • Incorporate optical, mechanical and electrical sub-assemblies into systems unit with test
  • Install and align optical, mechanical and optical sub-assemblies into systems using precision instruments

What will you bring to the team, along with your curiosity and creativity is:

  • Minimum a Diploma in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical) or equivalent
  • At least 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position
  • Technical competence in optical, mechanical or electrical assembly
  • Ability to assemble mechanical, electrical and optical subsystems
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
  • Experience in troubleshooting technical issues
