Job description

Job Scope:

(Job Summary, Key Responsibilities, etc.)

  • Laser Process Development :
  • R&D and optimization of laser processes (e.g., P1/P2/P3 scribing, edge isolation) for perovskite solar cells to improve device efficiency and stability.
    • Design DOE experiments to analyze the impact of laser parameters (power, wavelength, pulse frequency, etc.) on thin-film properties and cell performance

2. Equipment Management & Maintenance :

  • Operate and maintain precision laser systems (e.g., UV/picosecond lasers), ensuring high-precision performance and troubleshooting operational issues.
  • Develop calibration and maintenance protocols to minimize downtime.
  • Daily operation for the Laser and provide the training to operator and technicians

3 . Cross-functional Collaboration :

  • Work with materials and process teams to optimize laser compatibility with perovskite films, minimizing thermal damage.
  • Support production-line laser equipment selection, installation, and qualification, facilitating lab-to-fab process transfer.

4. Data Analysis & Reporting :

  • Collect and analyze laser processing data using SEM, IV testing, etc.; document findings and propose improvements.
  • Track industry trends and explore novel laser applications (e.g., laser transfer, doping).

Education requiement :

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Optical Engineering, Materials Science, Photovoltaics, Precision Instruments, or related fields.

Experience & Skills :

  • 3+ years in laser processes/equipment; experience with perovskite, thin-film, or silicon PV laser processes is a plus.
  • Proficient in UV/ultrafast laser systems (e.g., Trumpf, Coherent) and optical path/automation control.
  • Skilled in CAD, Matlab/Python for laser path programming or data analysis.
  • Basic knowledge of perovskite thin films and PV device structures.

Soft Skills :

  • Strong problem-solving ability and adaptability in fast-paced R&D environments.
  • Excellent teamwork and English proficiency (for technical literature).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in perovskite PV mass-production laser equipment debugging.
  • Knowledge of laser-material interaction mechanisms; published papers/patents in related fields.
  • Experience in a mass-produced perovskite company is preferred. Experience in a laser equipment supplier can also be accepted. Rich experience in operating on-site equipment is required.
