Job summary

Excelitas Technologies Corp. seeks a manufacturing technician to build laser base assemblies, test complex laser assemblies, and ensure quality control in a fast-paced environment. You will polish, align, test, and integrate components per drawings while maintaining safety and cleanliness standards.

The role involves training colleagues, following company policies on safety, and contributing to continuous improvement with engineering teams to introduce new products and optimize processes.

Qualifications

• GCE O Level or Technical Certificate or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3 years in manufacturing, Electrical/Electronic.
• Able to read drawings and schematics with accuracy.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control.
• Demonstrates discipline and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Experience with data recording in spreadsheets or process control systems.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test laser base assemblies and related components as per drawings and documents.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, and optical assembly and testing.
• Handle vacuum systems and fiber optics termination as required.
• Maintain clean, quality workmanship and safe practices.
• Train other employees per company instructions and grading framework.
• Support continuous improvement with preventive and corrective actions alongside engineering.
