A luxury hotel in Singapore is seeking a Landscaping Assistant Manager to assist in planning and maintaining landscapes across various properties. The ideal candidate should have a diploma or degree in Horticulture, experience in landscape management, and strong project management skills. We are looking for a Landscaping Assistant Manager to join our team!
Job Summary:
The incumbent will assist in the planning, design, and maintenance of landscapes of the hotel, apartments, residences and public spaces. This role requires a strong understanding of horticulture, landscape design principles, and project management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Landscape Maintenance:
Assist in the daily maintenance of landscapes, including pruning, planting, and irrigation system management.
Ensure all landscapes are well-manicured and meet quality standards.
2. Project Management:
Assist in the planning and execution of landscape projects, including design, installation, and maintenance.
Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.
3.Horticulture Expertise:
Provide horticultural expertise and recommendations on plant selection, soil management, and pest control.
Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in landscape management.
4. Team Management:
Supervise and train landscape maintenance staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
Foster a positive and productive team environment.
5. Communication:
Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
Prepare and submit reports, invoices, and other documentation as required.
Requirements:
Education: Diploma or degree in Horticulture, Landscape Management, or a related field.
Experience: At least 2 years of experience in landscape management or a related field.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of horticulture and landscape design principles.
- Project management and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Certifications: Relevant certifications, such as ISA Certified Arborist, Certified practicing horticulturist or Certified Park Manager, are an advantage.

Work Environment: Office and outdoor settings, including exposure to varying weather conditions.
Physical Demands: Ability to lift, carry, and manoeuvre heavy objects, and work in physically demanding conditions.
