Qualifications

Job description

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform chemical testing and recordings as per APHA, EPA or ASTM standards.
  • Perform laboratory analysis to monitor water quality from all stages of the treatment process.
  • Perform laboratory analysis of quality of chemicals purchased for use in the plant.
  • Prepare and replenish all chemicals used & standard solutions for analysis.
  • Upkeep of daily analysis results and ensure that the results are accurate and submitted on-time.
  • Investigate and report all atypical, anomalous and out- of-specification results to superior.
  • Conduct proper and periodic maintenance of laboratory equipment and ensure all equipment are calibrated according to manufacturer’s requirement; maintain proper housekeeping complying with EHS requirement.
  • Liaise with and manage sampling and analysis undertaken by third party laboratories.
  • Accept ad hoc assignment given by managers.
  • Accept multi-tasking and able to cover other operation duties as and when necessary.

Job Requirements

  • ITE or Diploma in Chemistry or related discipline
  • At least 1 years of experience in related laboratory analytical works especially in water testing will be an added advantage
  • Willing to work on shift
  • Willing to work at multiple sites
  • Willing to work beyond normal working hours due to operational needs of the plant
  • This is a 2 year contract role.
