Job summary

MITSUI ELASTOMERS SINGAPORE PTE LTD is seeking a Laboratory Technician to perform routine and ad-hoc analyses on production samples of Alpha-Olefin Copolymers, including TAFMER and EPR products, in our Singapore plant.

Reporting to Senior Laboratory Supervisor, you will conduct daily shipment sampling, calibrate equipment, document results, and maintain quality records in accordance with SOPs while working a 12-hour morning shift on Jurong Island. Entry-level applicants are welcome.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Applied Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or equivalent with 5 years of relevant experience.
• Entry level candidates without experience welcome.
• Self-motivated and able to multi-task.
• Team player with initiative and good communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily shipment and non-routine analysis of in-process and finished products in accordance to SOP and safe work procedures.
• Perform basic calibration for laboratory equipment to ensure that they are maintained in good working condition.
• Carry out documentation control for test results and ensure proper documentation of laboratory work and quality control records in accordance to the SOP.
• Prepare density columns for grade transition for in-process and classification testing.
• Ensure that good housekeeping is maintained in the Laboratory.
• Provide support for Laboratory-related assignments as and when assigned by immediate superior.

• Prepare density columns for grade transition for in-process and classification testing
• Ensure that good housekeeping is maintained in the Laboratory

Requirements:

• Diploma in Applied Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or an equivalent discipline with 5 years of relevant experience
