Job description

Laboratory Technician

Job Description:

• Perform routine laboratory tests and administrative tasks as required for quality control, process control and/or product development.
• Conduct basic calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment
• Observe safe laboratory practices and maintains good housekeeping as per ISO 9001 / 14000 / 17025 requirements
• Responsible for the preparation of materials / samples and perform analyses according to procedures and test methods
• Maintain proper inventory & data control and accuracy (System & Physical) on a daily basis
• Communicate and coordinate operations with other plant personnel and functions
• Perform any other work related functions as deemed necessary and appropriate by immediate superior

Requirements:

• Min. Diploma/Higher NITEC in chemistry or science-related discipline
• Preferably with 1 year relevant experience in the Oil & Gas industry
• Must be a responsible and resourceful team player who is able to make sound technical decisions in a fast paced environment
• Good interpersonal, management and problem solving skills
• Fresh graduates with positive attitudes to learn are welcome as training will be provided
• Willing to work in shift (if required in the future)
• Located at Tuas, Jurong
