Laboratory Support Technician (1-year contract)

Position Summary:

Main Responsibilities:
- Manage external customer/Non-Globe registration and support in ordering via the Commercial Portal.
- Generate quotes for analytical services for external customers.
- Issue analytical reports.
- Handle incoming calls and customer service inquiries.
- Coordinate administrative activities for NQAC (meetings, visitors, website).
- Maintain office and pantry supplies, providing administrative and secretarial support.
- Manage fixed assets for NQAC (registration, tracking, updates, disposal).
- Serve as the contact point for NQAC facilities.
- Support documentation system maintenance and updates.
- Ensure timely issuance of ISO reports.
- Update Pricelist for NQAC Singapore.
- Organize staff meetings, workshops, and events.
- Assist in Sample Handling: manage incoming parcels, sample grinding, and transferring as needed.
- Assist in Procurement: request quotations, generate PRs, follow up on POs and orders, and perform goods receipt in the system.
- Accept deliveries, manage stocks and storage.
- Manage consumables, plan inventory of AMM items.
- Ensure smooth procurement of supplies in compliance with standards.
- Respond promptly to customer emails and follow up on sample inquiries.
- Identify and assess customer needs to achieve satisfaction.
- Conduct behavior-based safety observations (BBSO) and participate in safety activities.
- Maintain a safe working environment.
- Participate in Safety, Quality Management, and Goal Alignment activities, representing the section.
- Contribute to operational reviews and continuous improvement initiatives, including root cause analysis and troubleshooting.
- Ensure proper maintenance of all equipment.
- Register, inventory, and dispose of fixed assets.
- Perform regular 5S activities.
- Assist in lean improvement projects to enhance cost efficiency, reduce labor hours, and improve workflow.
- Extend skills and competencies based on section needs.
Key Experiences and Skills:
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and SAP or LIMS.
- Ability to multitask with minimal supervision.
Qualifications:
Diploma in Chemistry, Food Science, Analytical Science, or related scientific fields, with a preference for administrative experience.
Knowledge:
Graduate with laboratory internship or related work experience preferred. Experience in SAP, knowledge of Quality Systems, and GLP are advantageous.
