Job summary

Health Sciences Authority in Singapore seeks a Biology Laboratory Associate to conduct serological testing and collect biological material on evidence submitted by law enforcement, contributing to lab improvements and validating new technologies.

You will support administrative duties, ensure quality control, and collaborate with a proactive team while leveraging digital tools such as Power Automate, Power Apps, SQL, Python and Tableau to advance data analysis.

Qualifications

• Background knowledge in Biology/Biomedical Science/Biotechnology (or equivalent).
• Completed supervised laboratory research in biochemistry/molecular biology area.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask.
• Collaborative team player with the capability to work independently, proactive.
• Proficient in digital/data analytics (Power Automate/Power Apps, SQL, Python, Tableau) is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Examination for biological fluids using chemical and serological tests.
• Collection of biological material on evidence submitted by law enforcement agencies.
• Assist in lab improvement/research projects through digital solutions.
• Assist scientists in developing/validating new technologies/methods.
• Supporting laboratory administrative duties such as equipment maintenance, inventory management, procurement of consumables, and preparation of laboratory reagents/supplies.
• Adhering to stringent quality control and quality assurance protocols, and assisting in laboratory quality assurance duties such as checking for expiry dates, conduct of basic performance checking tests.
